Daniel Dalegaard believes that access to the world’s best investment opportunities should not be reserved for a privileged few. This belief has shaped his career and defines NIO Partners.

Daniel has been part of NIO since its inception and has contributed to the firm’s investment strategy, portfolio construction, and market positioning from the outset. His appointment to CEO in February 2026 reflects continuity in strategy and a clear mandate to scale the firm.

Daniel began his career in M&A advisory at SEB Corporate Finance, advising on transactions and capital structuring. He later moved into alternative investments at Danske Bank Wealth Management and Danica Pension, where he was responsible for private market allocations across funds and direct investments on behalf of institutional investors in the Nordic region. He holds a master’s degree in Finance and Accounting from Copenhagen Business School.

Christian brings strategy and business development experience from McKinsey & Company and most recently private equity real estate firm NREP where he focused on fundraising and business development. Prior to NREP and McKinsey, Christian worked as a derivatives banker in Royal Bank of Scotland and worked pro-bono for an NGO analyzing alternative financing solutions. Christian holds a Master of Science in Finance and Economics from London School of Economics, a Bachelor of Science in Economics from University of Copenhagen, and a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP Law School.

Olle brings with him M&A advisory experience from Deloitte Financial Advisory, and, most recently, Olle has worked with investments and portfolio management at PFA Pension’s Alternative Investments team. At PFA, he worked with private market investments, including fund commitments and co-investments, primarily in the private equity space. Olle holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Strategic Management from Copenhagen Business School.

Jakob is part of NIO’s investment team and focuses on sourcing and analysis of investment opportunities across asset classes. Prior to joining NIO, Jakob gained experience as part of Nykredit’s Structured Debt & Advisory team and as M&A analyst with Carlsquare. Jakob holds a BBA from Gonzaga University and a MSc in Finance & Strategic Management from Copenhagen Business School.

Rebekka is part of our investment team and focuses on exploring and analyzing new investment opportunities across all offered asset classes. She has worked within both shipping and pharma, and, prior to joining NIO, Rebekka was an intern at Verdane Growth Capital where she gained experience with PE transactions focusing on software companies. Rebekka holds an MSc in Applied Economics and Finance from Copenhagen Business School.

Sebastian is a member of NIO's investment team, focusing on analysing new investment opportunities across asset classes. Sebastian previously worked in the Strategy and M&A team at Heimstaden, focusing the majority of his work on capital raising efforts. Sebastian also brings experience from Danske Bank and ATP Private Equity Partners, where he worked with alternative investments. Sebastian holds an MSc in Finance and Accounting from Copenhagen Business School.

Besides being an analyst in our Investment team, Alexander is currently pursuing a BSc in Economics & Business Administration at Copenhagen Business School. Prior to his studies and joining NIO, he served as a guardsman in the Royal Danish Life Guards.

Michael brings with him +25 years of experience from the financial sector. He has held several positions within Private Banking at Danske Bank, Saxo Bank and Handelsbanken. Michael has also been responsible for the Private Equity programme within Danske Bank (Merchant Bank). He holds a Master in Tax (LL.M) from Copenhagen Business School.

Casper is part of NIO’s investor relations team and is responsible for building client relationships across the Nordic institutional market. He has spent nearly 15 years working in the asset management industry, during which he has held various roles across the sell-side, buy-side, and lately in strategy consulting. Casper was most recently Director and part of the Executive Management team at strategy consultancy Kirstein, helping asset managers solve strategic challenges and realize the growth potential in the Nordic and European countries.
Casper holds a Master in Finance and Accounting from Copenhagen Business School and London School of Economics and has held the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charter since 2016.

Ulrik brings with him 30+ years of experience in the Danish financial sector and he has spent 25+ years working in the asset management industry in Denmark.
Prior to NIO, he worked for Alternative Equity Partners. He previously held positions at Nordea AM, SEB AM, Nykredit AM, and Danske Capital.

Kathrine is a finance professional with 16 years of experience advising high-net-worth individuals and trust funds. She has an extensive background with investment management, wealth structuring, and long-term value creation and bespoke solutions. Kathrine holds a Master in Finance and Accounting from Copenhagen Business School and previously held positions in Nordea Private Banking and Danske Bank Private Banking Elite.

Andreas brings both audit, regulatory and financial advisory experience from Deloitte where he specialized in serving clients within the financial sector and most recently A.P. Møller Mærsk where he focused on optimizing and aligning the process for financial reporting- and controlling and moreover, financial risk management. Prior to the mentioned, Andreas has been employed within the start-up community where he focused on strategy, finance, and business development. Andreas holds a Master of Science in Audit and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration.

Peter brings more than 35 years of experience from the finance industry with a focus on banking and fund management. Peter previously held the role as COO of Mensarius AG, Zürich and BLS Capital AS and several executive roles with various banks in Denmark. He completed his finance degree at the Copenhagen Business Academy and has continued his education with training in the areas of banking, law and leadership.

Casper is part of NIO’s Fund and Risk Management team, focusing on financial and risk reporting and fund liquidity management. Prior to joining NIO, Casper gained experience from the private equity fund Erhvervsinvest, where he worked with Fund and portfolio management. Casper holds an MSc in Finance and International Business from Aarhus University.

Katrine is part of NIO's finance team. Prior to joining NIO, Katrine worked in accounting and company management in The Balearic Islands in Spain for 10+ years. Katrine is currently pursuing a HD at Copenhagen Business School.

Rune is Financial Manager in our Operations team and focuses on optimizing the fund management and accounting processes. Prior to joining NIO, Rune worked with fund administration of alternative investments in Nykredit and, as a result, brings experience within e.g. financial reporting, valuation, controlling and fund management. Prior to Nykredit, Rune worked as a consultant within project controls where he gained knowledge of controlling, planning, budgeting and optimization in projects. Rune holds a Master of Science in Accounting, Strategy & Control from Copenhagen Business School.

Mette comes from a position as Business Controller at Coop Denmark and has 20+ years of experience within finance from various business sectors. All employments have been focused around accounting, optimizing accounting processes, financial reporting and controlling.

Mogens has 20+ years experience as a lawyer assisting institutional investors and fund managers in PE/alternative investment structures, infrastructure projects and assets. Mogens is a partner and management member at Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, where he focuses on business development and capital raising, including development of CIP’s existing investment products and new business areas and products.

Jonas Højhus Jeppesen is CFO at Lind Invest ApS, where he is responsible for the firm’s alternatives portfolio. He is a member of the Investment Committee at NIO Partners. Jonas currently serves on the board of Lind Capital A/S and has previously held board positions at Lind Capital Fondsmæglerselskab A/S and Lyngby Kraftvarmeværk A/S. He holds an MSc in Finance and has been with Lind Invest since July 2013.

Christian has extensive experience within the alternative investments sector. Christian joined NREP in 2019, one of the leading European real estate private equity managers. Most recently, he co-founded the global venture capital fund, 2150, investing in climate technology companies that seek to sustainably reimagine and reshape the urban environment. When the fund incepted, it was one of largest early stage climate tech fund in Europe and one of the largest VCs in Europe based out of London and Copenhagen.

Jesper has had an accounting and consulting career for 35 years. He holds a Master’s Degree in accounting, auditing and tax and was furthermore registered as a Certified Public Accountant. He was a partner with first KPMG and later Ernst & Young for 20 years, serving as Managing Partner/Chairman for 14 years, during which time he also audited and advised major Danish Corporates. He also served on KPMG’s global board and was later Deputy-Managing Partner for Ernst & Young Nordics. Since July 2019, he has pursued a non-executive board career and is currently the Chairman of Pihl & Søn, LM Byg and BNS, and Board member and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Realkredit Danmark and Danica Pension.
